چکیده
The purpose of this study is to scientifically analyze physicochemical characteristics the roof tiles used for palaces in Joseon Dynasty which stored Changdeokgung material storage and Seooreung Jaesil modern handmade ones made by N company understand differences between their manufacturing techniques. Through chromaticity, cross-sectional observation, component analysis, crystal structure it was possible confirm properties fired tile. Roof from have a wider colorimetric range higher apparent porosity water absorption, on average, than tiles. cross section shows that most clay minerals not been vitrified, remaining form atypical particles, while denser materials. X-ray diffraction analysis identified low-temperature such as micas but no peak these observed tiles, implying are at temperature ones. Therefore, density due use pugmills. general content main ingredients similar two. Additionally, principal trace elements showed samples were areas. It seems manufactured using soils supplied specific region same timeframe consistency components implies they also mix proportions clay.

متن کاملSummer and Winter Effect of Innovative Cool Roof Tiles on the Dynamic Thermal Behavior of Buildings
Cool roofs represent an acknowledged passive cooling technique to reduce building energy consumption for cooling and to mitigate urban heat island effects. This paper concerns the evaluation of the dynamic effect of new cool roof clay tiles on building thermal performance in summer and winter conditions. To this end, these properties have been analyzed on traditional roof brick tiles through an...

متن کاملThermal-energy analysis of roof cool clay tiles for application in historic buildings and cities
More than 90% of historic buildings have traditional clay tiles as roof covering exposed to solar radiation, largely impacting buildings’ thermal-energy performance and urban climate, since most of historic buildings are located in dense urban contexts. In this view, the optimization of these traditional elements could represent a key research issue, with the purpose of building energy retrofit...
